Planning a complete travel package in Alaska from thousands of miles away can feel overwhelming. It’s difficult to coordinate guides, lodging, and logistics and keep track of all the details. Alaska Silvertip Lodge and Cabins is here to help, we build custom travel packages and adventures where every day means heading out for another adventure bear viewing, whale watching, seeing Kenai fjords, fishing, rafting, or enjoying a free day to travel and explore on your own. You’ll stay in our private cabins on 8.5 acres right here in Soldotna, Alaska.

FAMILY OWNED LOCAL HOSTS: My husband Jeremy and I have spent 23 years coordinating Alaska vacations on the Kenai Peninsula. We’ve operated this lodge since 2016 and have become experts in managing all the details for travel packages like booking, activity coordination, and guest logistics. We know you want a travel package management team that will stand by you all the way through your Alaska itinerary. When something happens, like a weather change, and your plans suddenly have to adjust, we want you to know we got you and will provide same day support to help you readjust to another activity.

We live here year-round with our three kids. This means we know which whale watching and Kenai Fjords boats provide the most intimate experience, which Alaska bear viewing trip will see the most bears, which guides catch more fish, and which are the best Alaska tours being offered. We only partner with adventure guides and day tours we trust and would send our own family with if we were visiting the great land.

Customizing Vacations, Packages & Itineraries:

Package customization in Soldotna starts with your available dates and interests. Tell us if you want fishing focus, sightseeing focus, or balanced mix for your Alaska trip. The summer season May through September means different species and tour availability each month.

You choose how many guided days versus free exploration days you want. Some visitors prefer back-to-back activities every day. Others want rest days between adventures. We suggest activity sequencing based on dates, peak seasons, weather patterns, and logistics.

Your itinerary adjusts to your pace preference and physical ability level. Families with young kids get gentler rafting and shorter kayak trips. Active adults receive canyon rafting and full-day river or ocean charters. We match each visitors trip activities to your group’s capabilities.

What’s Included in Soldotna Vacation Package Pricing

Package pricing covers cabin lodging and pre-selected guided trips, and a small amount for our time spent on taking care of logistics. You get transparent one-price booking with no inflated costs like you would see when booking with a large company. Fish processing facilities are included for all fishing packages for a modest additional charge.

Standard package inclusions:
• Private cabin rental with kitchen and amenities (3-10 nights)
• Pre-booked guided fishing and sightseeing
• Activity coordination and scheduling between guides
• Fish processing and freezing facilities
• On-site staff for logistics support

Some packaged adventures have activity substitutions at the same price point. Trade excursions like heli dog sledding for wilderness dog sledding and reduce your cost. Swap Kenai Lake kayaking for Homer kayaking with small price adjustment. Per-person pricing drops when 3+ people share a cabin.

NOT INCLUDED:
Meals are not included. Our cabins have full kitchens for self-catering. Grocery stores sit 5-10 minutes from the lodge. Soldotna restaurants provide many dining options if you prefer eating out. Booking Timeline for Peak and Shoulder Season Trip Packages

Peak season packages in Soldotna, Alaska book 8-16 months ahead and if you are lucky you can find a rare opening a few months away. The second half of June, July, August, and the first half of September fill fastest due to Alaska red salmon runs, silver salmon runs, some of the best rainbow trout fishing in the world, all our sightseeing tours, and 20-hour daylight. Early booking secures your preferred dates and first choice of trips and guides.

May, the first half of June, and the second half of September are also peak months for packages, but a little different. These bookings need to be made 3-12 months out with better availability. Mid May into mid June offers amazing wildlife emerging, ocean fishing, and fewer crowds. September delivers fall colors and local vacation timing where you can experience some of the best Alaska rainbow trout fishing as well as guided sightseeing excursions.

Last-minute availability exists but limits your activity options and cabin choice. Bear watching and whale tour dates along with prime fishing weeks during salmon runs fill 12-18 months ahead. Flexible travelers find more options with last minute availability in shoulder season dates. Our prices are the same year round because during any date we are open there is a trip you can build that will be in peak season and we don’t up-charge for peak dates.
